TRAINING ELEMENTS

ACCELERATION: Improve first step quickness, win more balls and learn “running onto the ball” techniques

REACTION: Improve explosive reaction, anticipation skills and mental alertness

BALANCE / STABILITY: Improve skills to maintain positioning or regain control after losing possession, along with improving balance to decrease lateral ankle sprains

POWER ENDURANCE: Increase high speed attacking style of play, all game long

EXPLOSIVE HIP POWER: Improve hip rotator strength and stability for better leg speed and ball striking speed, increasing overall shot power

AGILITY / DECELERATION: Improve ability to “settle”, mark and cut, track the attacker and maintain ball control at varying speeds

PREHAB / CORRECTIVE EXERCISE: Decrease the risk of injuries by learning recovery techniques, warm-up drills and appropriate cool-down exercises
